Dog collars, leads and acessories. Sewing is my life, my passion, so are my Dachshunds, so I combined the two.

I've always been a crafter, one of my early childhood memories was accidently sewing one of the 3 Wise Kings I was making for a nativity scene, to my school skirt. I think I also cut it off, not damaging the King of course. I had a lovely darned school skirt after that.
Previously having worked as a repairs seamstress in a busy dry cleaners until 2009, it was in 2011 I got my first Miniature Dachshund, Mr Darcy. I couldn't find any original collars that I liked here in the UK, so I bought some ribbon, used the webbing and clip off an old rucksack and the first Walk Me This Way collar was born. I quickly ordered more supplies and made him more collars.
You know how the story goes, your friends see it, your friends ask for some as well, and a matching lead or two... and it snowballs.
In 2015 WMTW became full time, based in my sewing studio working from home.
I have expanded the range to include bespoke made harnesses, quilted coats, tees and the infamous, unique 'Puddle Jumpers' designed especially for low riding dogs (design rights granted).
I decided to move Walk Me This Way over to Etsy in 2016, having previously sold knitted doll outfits here in the past.
I hope you like my products, I try to be original and give my customers something a little different and all are thoroughly Dachshund tried and tested by the WMTW Craft Room Hounds.

Care instructions

COLLARS LEADS BANDANAS AND HARNESSES:
These items can be machine washed at 30 degrees inside a washing bag or tied up pillowcase. Please lie flat to dry, not on a radiator or other heat source.

PUDDLE JUMPERS:
Puddle Jumpers must be washed using non biological washing powder and NEVER use fabric conditioner- or it will ruin the waterproofing of the fleece and tummy panel.

Walk Me This Way welcomes custom lead orders. If you would like a longer or shorter lead than our usual sizes, please get in touch.

If you have a fabric you would like made into a collar, lead or bandana, please get in touch.

All custom orders are paid in full up front and are non returnable.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Walk Me This Way prides itself in careful and safe packaging. Using tissue paper or clear plastic packaging bags, we aim to get your order to you in tip top condition.

Sent in red plastic mailing bags, your order will be protected from the rain and should reach you ready to wear.
